I don’t make it to Hills Park often, but when I do it’s usually a great time birding. Upon arrival there was a huge flock of European Starlings on the ground. As soon as I got out of the car they fled for the trees. With the sun shining today it really illuminated the beautiful coloring of their feathers.
Every time time I’ve been to Hills Park I’ve seen a hawk, and today I saw two, possibly three. I was able to get some really cool shots of these Red-tails.
While I was trying to get a better view of the hawk through the grass, a White-tailed Doe came crashing through the field. As I followed her with the camera, her pursuer came crashing through the field right after her, the White-tailed Buck. It was a cool moment to witness and while the photos aren’t great, I did get a few.
