I will never stop raving about Gull Point State Park. Every single time I go there, I find so many birds, and almost always find some mammals as well. I had such a blast this trip, and got some really beautiful photos of so many animals. There was an absolute ton of Black-capped Chickadees and woodpeckers out and about. We saw Hairy, Downy and Red-bellied woodpeckers all around in the woods. There were a few deer out, and so many playful squirrels. We even came upon several different muskrats in the canal on our way out of the park. My favorite part of the day was finding a new bird to go on my Lifer List, the Brown Creeper. I just happened to see it climbing up a tree, and at first I hadn’t gotten any really clear shots of it. But as we left the trail to head somewhere else, the bird flew to a tree right in front of me and posed for a perfect photo.
